Karl Turner, president and founder of A La Carte Specialty Foods, has devoted nearly his entire life to supporting the shrimp industry in the Gulf of Mexico. Now, he’s packaging them up and delivering as many as he can to your local grocery store.

“My philosophy and commitment to Gulf shrimp hasn’t changed,” Turner said. “In fact, it’s more important to me now than ever before that people understand and appreciate the value of this product.”

Since our start in 2003 ALC Specialty Foods has created and marketed over 12 different value-added, ready to heat-n-eat products such as New Orleans Style Gumbo, Shrimp Fettucine, Crawifish Cakes, Crawfish Poppers, and Homestyle-parcooked breaded oysters. Our products are sold nationally through major retail stores, food service distributors and restaurants.

A La Carte’s new product is Sauté Your Way. Available in southern Louisiana grocery stores, the line of value-added meals combines wild-caught, nature fed Gulf shrimp and restaurant-quality sauces created by famous Chef Paul Prudhomme.
